Operating a robot in all climate zones
Form, material and design are often among the essential criteria that support purchasing decisions. The way it feels to enter a car or touch its knobs - the way it smells, the way it sounds - these qualities are significantly harder to grasp.
The first air test chamber WK BM 1000 with integrated robotic measuring
Weiss Umwelttechnik GmbH – specialist for environmental simu-lation systems – is presenting a world premiere: the first climate test chamber with integrated measuring robotic (WK BM 1000) as a complete system. The WK BM 1000 was developed in cooperation with Battenberg ROBOTIC GmbH & Co. KG. This climate test chamber can be used for function-dependent component tests under extreme climatic conditions and with rapid temperature changes in testing and production.
The field of application for the WK BM 1000 combines measuring robotics with exposure of the specimen to be tested to a wide range of different climatic conditions. The automotive industry in particular tests both function and the haptic, visual and acoustic qualities of con-trol elements, switches and knobs. Cockpit components such as touch panels, navigation systems, HMIs and air vents are also tested under all the climatic conditions that can occur on our planet. The combination of temperature, function and haptics is also exciting for medi-cal equipment, electric and electronic products, IT and domestic appliances.
Making assessments palpable, measurable and reproducible
Form, material and design are often among the essential criteria that support purchasing decisions. The way it feels to enter a car or touch its knobs - the way it smells, the way it sounds - these qualities are significantly harder to grasp.
Measuring Robotic systems provide the data for this. The cooperation between Battenberg and Weiss allows a whole new range of application possibilities.
